Terms of use
in plain words.
The agreement for using EraPOS and this website, written to be read.
The short version: pay for your plan, keep your account safe, use EraPOS fairly, and your business's records stay yours.

These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and EraPOS ("we", "us") for using this website and EraPOS: the point of sale, the store server, the check-in app, EraPOS Hub and the back office (together, "EraPOS"). By opening an account or using EraPOS, you agree to them. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you may do so for it.
Your account
- Give us true and current details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your passwords and PINs to yourself, give each employee their own, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your employees do in EraPOS.
Plans and billing
- Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew on their own until you cancel. Prices are shown before you buy and do not include taxes.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know; if it is still not paid, we may pause your service until it is.
- You can change or cancel your plan from your account. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and payments already made are not refunded unless the law says otherwise.
- If we change our prices, we will tell you before the change reaches your plan.
- Card processing is a separate agreement between you and Stripe or Helcim, with their own fees.
Your business's information
Your business's records in EraPOS, such as clients, appointments, tickets and employees, are yours. You let us store and process them only to provide EraPOS to you, as our privacy policy explains. You are responsible for having the right to keep them, for telling your clients and employees how you use their information, and for the messages your business sends through EraPOS.
Before you leave EraPOS, ask us for a copy of your records.
Fair use
Please do not:
- Break the law with EraPOS, or use it to send messages people did not agree to receive.
- Try to get into accounts, stores or systems that are not yours, or test our security without our written permission.
- Copy, resell, take apart or rebuild EraPOS, or get around its limits or licences.
- Overload or disrupt EraPOS for other businesses.
Equipment, other services and availability
EraPOS needs equipment you provide, such as a Windows PC, an Android tablet, printers and card readers, and a working network in your store. Card payments need the internet; the store keeps selling with other tenders when it drops, and syncs when it returns.
Some parts of EraPOS rely on other companies, such as Stripe, Helcim, Apple and Google. Their terms apply to their services, and we are not responsible for them.
We work to keep EraPOS running and improving. We may update it, change or retire features, and pause it briefly for maintenance; we will tell you ahead of time about changes that matter to you.
What is ours
EraPOS, this website and their names, logos, designs and software belong to EraPOS or its licensors. While your plan is active, we give you a limited right to use EraPOS for your own business. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Warranties and liability
EraPOS is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for EraPOS in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited.
Check your reports and payroll before you rely on them: you are responsible for your taxes, your payroll and paying your team.
Ending
You can stop using EraPOS at any time by cancelling your plan. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is not paid, after telling you when we can. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last, such as payment, ownership and liability, keep applying after an account closes.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell account holders about important changes; using EraPOS after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where EraPOS is established, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Questions about these terms: write to us with our contact form. If the English and Spanish versions differ, the English version applies.
